About
Sermorelin is a synthetic peptide analog of human growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH), corresponding to its first 29 amino acids (GRF 1-29). Developed to stimulate the body's manufacture and release of growth hormone (GH), it was first approved by the FDA in 1997 (trade name Geref) for growth hormone deficiency in children and adults; that approval was discontinued in 2008 for commercial reasons unrelated to safety. Research has explored its use in GH regulation, body composition, and longevity contexts, often alongside other secretagogues.
